First Metals Blasts and Ships From Fabie Bay

Toronto, Ontario- November 5 th , 2007- First Metals Inc. (FMA-T) is pleased to report that the
initial blasting of the open pit bench at the Fabie Bay Deposit was successfully undertaken on
November 1 st , 2007.

Trucking of the crushed material stockpiled from underground has begun today. It is anticipated
that approximately 15,000 tonnes of both higher grade and low grade material will be delivered to
the Horne Mill in Rouyn-Noranda by the time the mill is ready to start on November 17 th , 2007.
The deposit is located 30 miles from Rouyn-Noranda, Québec

First Metals is bringing into production the Fabie Bay and Magusi River Copper, Zinc, Gold and
